What is a Heart-Wall, and how is it released?
If you have read Dr. Bradley Nelson’s books, you have probably met the idea of the Heart-Wall. It is one of the things clients ask me about most, so here is how I explain it.
What it is
In the Emotion Code, which is part of the Body Code, a Heart-Wall is described as a protective “wall” the subconscious builds around the heart out of trapped emotions. It often forms during difficult periods, such as a loss, a breakup or a stressful childhood, as a way of feeling safer.
The wall made sense at the time. The trouble is that it can stay long after it is needed.
How people describe it
Clients who ask me about Heart-Wall work often say they keep people at arm’s length, feel a little numb, or find it hard to let joy all the way in. These are emotional experiences, not a diagnosis. If you are struggling with your health or mental health, please talk to a licensed professional.
How it is released
In a session I use muscle testing to ask whether a Heart-Wall is present. If it is, I find the trapped emotions it is made of, one at a time, and release each one with a magnet. Some come from recent years; some go back a long way.
Because a wall usually has several layers, clearing it typically takes two to four sessions. That is why my Open Heart package includes three.
Can it be done at a distance?
Yes. I work by proxy, testing on myself while focusing on you, so Zoom and phone sessions work the same way as in person. Here is how distance sessions work.
Where to start
If you are curious, the easiest step is a single Body Code Session. We check for a Heart-Wall, release what is ready, and you decide whether to continue.
Body Code sessions are complementary energy work for relaxation and personal growth. Jennifer is not a licensed physician, psychologist, counselor, veterinarian or massage therapist. Sessions do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition and are not a substitute for medical, psychological or veterinary care. Please keep seeing your own providers and never change a medication or treatment because of a session. The Body Code is considered experimental. Results vary and are not guaranteed.
